Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo sparked divorce rumors after they were spotted without their wedding rings on separate occasions.
Last month, while on his way to Brunei to film for his upcoming new series, celebrity observers noticed that Song Joong Ki is not wearing his ring. This, then, made fans speculate that there the Song-Song couple may not be on good terms lately.
Adding fuel to the fire were the claims saying that Song Hye Kyo has been deleting her photos with Song Joong Ki on Instagram. Some of her followers noted that the Full House star has been sharing black-and-white snaps of her and her pet, which, reportedly, suggested that she might not in a good place.
Others claimed that Song Joong Ki was sighted alone on a wedding event last month. Though there are no concrete pieces of evidence available to prove that these divorce rumors are true, many fans chose to believe it.
Song Joong Ki finally addressed the divorce rumors
After months of being silent about the issue, Song Joong Ki, finally, addressed the divorce rumors via a clip.
Avid followers of the actor noticed him wearing his wedding ring on the behind-the-scenes video of Arthdal Chronicles. This, according to media outlets, is a clear indication that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are still together.
Aside from that, the respective talent agencies of the couple have debunked the divorce rumors already. It even stated that neither Song Joong Ki nor Song Hye Kyo has to make a comment regarding these reports since these are all untrue.
What’s next for the Song-Song couple?
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki is set to appear on tvN’s forthcoming new series titled Arthdal Chronicles. He will portray the role of Eun Seom, a warrior who would do everything to protect himself and his tribe.
The new show will, also, mark as a reunion of Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won, who both appeared on the 2016 KBS series titled Descendants of the Sun, along with Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, Onew, Kim Min Seok, and Lee Kwang Soo among others. It is set to premiere on June 1, 2019, at 9 p.m. KST on tvN and Netflix.
Song Hye Kyo, for her part, will be doing another project with Chinese director Kong War Kai, who owns Jet Tome Films. A day before she signed the deal, the wife of Song Joong Ki expressed her excitement on working with Chinese stars and filmmakers in the future.
